Keep a Birthday Binder

By Sinea Pies

Binders work well for neat storage of important paperwork. They are just the best! Uniform in shape and size, they can be neatly arranged in the same color, or multi-colors, whatever you'd like to see. Create a visual landscape with them or design the space to disappear into the background (i.e. white binders on a white shelf!) Use them as is or decorate them with your own personal creative flair!

The Birthday Binder is an especially fun way of never forgetting a birthday again! Throw those "belated birthday" cards away! You can make the binder simple, ornate or use an ongoing craft project! Get the family involved! Each person can decorate their own page, complete with their picture on it.

The essential items in your Birthday Binder should be:
  • Birthday / Anniversary Calendar page
  • Calendar for the current year
  • A page for each person (and pet?) whose birthday you will be celebrating every year.
  • Another page for additional special events: graduations, baby and bridal showers, weddings, anniversaries.
  • Record sheet: keep track of what you gave as a gift to avoid repeats!
Scrap bookers will want to keep some special supplies nearby and work on it often. Make additional copies for your growing-up children to have when they move out on their own! What a great keepsake to pass on.
