Actually, my solution to the dilemma of how to fold a fitted sheet had been to not do it at all.
My arms are too short. I mean it. Did you see how these ladies were stretching their arms to get them into the corners? At my 5 foot 2 inches of shortness and folding a King Sized fitted sheet? Well, it is not doable. So, the answer was to only own one set of sheets. That way you are then FORCED to wash, dry and put it back on the bed immediately. Problem solved!

Our 20-something son Zack, though, needs to learn this technique. He lets his dog, Troy, sleep in his bed with him and, therefore, has purchased several sets of bed linens to keep it clean (for which we are very glad).
His folding technique? Balling up the clean, unused sheets and throwing them in a corner! Can anybody tell me how to get him to watch this video?

I know I saw this video once long ago and I've always meant to go back and watch it again because I couldn't remember past the first step! Now that I've seen it, I'm going to try to repeat it the next time I do laundry... hopefully I don't end up as embarrassed as the guest on the show...

I admit. I tend to roll fitted sheets, too.

Hmmmm, I get to the part where all of the corners are on my left hand... then I fold the best I can. If I had a big counter like Martha, I'm sure my sheets would be beautiful. I just make sure that they are folded in half the long way so that I can line the fold up with the middle of headboard so my husband doesn't get ALL of MY sheet side... lol
ReplyDeleteI think I've finally gotten all of my laundry under control - just this past year... I use the laundry washer balls (no laundry soap needed when using them!!) & the laundry dryer balls. I also use white vinegar & essential oil drops for the rinse.
I do my best but its always hit or miss -- usually a combination of a roll and a fold! Now following you. Thanks for hosting the link-up!
