The holiday is right around the corner and, especially if you are hosting a big Thanksgiving dinner, you have plenty to do so I'll make this brief.
I just want to encourage you to draw the line, somewhere.
If you've ever had to fight the urge to be perfect, you'll understand what I mean.
- The house needs to be perfect.
- The meal needs to be perfect.
- The kids, the dog, the hubby....YOU...everything needs to be perfect!
When it starts to rob you of the JOY of your holiday, then enough is enough.

FIRST
Identify the true need.
What absolutely has to be done to have a nice family get together?
Food preparation.
Clean, neat table that is set for dinner.
Clean bathroom(s).
Vacuumed rugs.
NEXT
What can you skip?
The dog does NOT have to be groomed.
Some rooms can be avoided. Just close the door.
Does everything have to be made by you? Ask them to bring a dish to pass.
FINALLY
Be thankful.
Literally sit down in a quiet place and count your blessings.
They may be meager...small...but there is plenty to be grateful for.
It will take away the stress about the things that need to change.
Forget about those things for now.
Be glad.
Say a prayer.
Now, enjoy everything... even the preparations!
Here's a quick guide on how to sweep a room clean in minutes.
