Boost Your Post Party #2

Our very first Boost Your Post Party was a great success. Every participant received one or more likes, comments and/or shares on their Facebook posts, giving them a boost in viewership. I, for one, received much activity on one post that raised my reach from the typical 20 to 373. Of course, I would love for my posts to reach all of my 1529+ fans but got to start somewhere. I was pleased.  Point is, the more we participate, the more benefits we will all reap.

This week we have two special co hosts who are participating in our party:
Diane Roark of Recipes For Our Daily Bread and Tammy Doiel of Creative K Kids and The Ultimate Link Party.

There are no requirements when it comes to following hosts/co-hosts. We are simply making links to the social media for our host and co-hosts for anyone who would like to.

The Rules:

  1. Add the URL to one or two of your recent Facebook posts that you would like to boost. (How to find that URL is explained at the end of this post.)
  2. Visit the 2 posts (or four if you shared 2 with us) above yours and like, comment and/or share them.*

As this is a social media experiment, please check back with us and share your experiences. Is it helping you to reach more of your readers? How is it working out for you?

*Note: Facebook weighs our activity. Likes are ranked the lightest weight (but still are great to get) Comments count more with Facebook. Shares are the most influential with them. Of course, we can also combine our response and like, comment and/or share on the same post.

Happy Blogging, my friends.

  • Open up your Facebook Fanpage.
  • Open the Administrative window (Admin Panel) so that you can see the list of most recent posts at the top left of the window.
  • After you have added your status report and clicked "POST" the post name will appear at the top left of the Admin. page.
  • Click on the name of the post and it will open in a new window.
The URL of that new window is the URL of your post.  It will look something like this:
That is the URL you will use for our link party. :)
